I am Abhai Kaul. German Shepherds have been a major part of my life. Having been around German Shepherds since a very early age, I have a very diverse experience with the breed. I have handled and helped train many dogs from scratch to their VA titles.I met my then girlfriend and now wife Yvonne Kaul predictably at a Dog Show!

Introduced to the world of schutzhund and dog sport by her father, Yvonne titled her first female to Sch H3 at the age of 13! She has worked and titled numerous German Shepherds to the highest level of Schutzhund ever since. Yvonne also has great experience and expertise in the show ring as well, handling many great dogs to high “V” and “VA” positions. She has owned, bred and worked both show lines and working lines and has spoken at various well received seminars on working and show dogs. One of Yvonne’s super females has produced the American Siegerin VA1. Of essence, German Shepherds has been a life long commitment for her as a connoisseur of the breed.

Together we have owned, bred and shown German Shepherds in various countries to the highest level and have won over the years, quite a few friends and trophies all over the globe.

Yvonne, Vesper & Abhai

We are Yvonne and Abhai Kaul and together we are Zwinger von Nummer Eins German Shepherds. We have also been involved with horses since an early age and are both avid horse riders, where Yvonne competed in Dressage and Abhai in tent pegging and Polo. We have been been devoted to the German Shepherd dog breed since childhood and have been actively been involved in showing, working and breeding of German Shepherd dogs of the highest quality. We now live in the picturesque Ventura County in California, USA where the mountains and the Pacific Ocean is our backyard!

Our aim is to breed the finest German Shepherds of the west German Show lines who possess outstanding temperament, anatomy, color, and movement; German Shepherds who would be at equal ease whether Catching the bad guys, rescuing people, working in the Schutzhund field, winning accolades in the show ring, playing with a toddler or just running and basking on the beach.
